I first saw this painting (as a large print reproduction) in my son and daughter-in-law's home. They fell in love with it, and it has very high meaning to them. I enjoy it because it reminds me of how passion may not last a lifetime, but a kiss from a true love will always remind you of the very first kiss from that sweetheart. There is devotion (to me) and reverence, a sort of awe that we all feel when love happens to us.

This painting has been following me for the last couple years of my life. From the places I visit to the current place I recently moved into. Perhaps it is a sign to fall in love with love and live life to the fullest?

"The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt was the very first print I bought when I was on my own. I was at the Driftwood Mall in Courtenay BC, 17 years ago. This print somehow spoke to me.
