Perhaps our government is too big, perhaps it spends money on things that are certainly not necessary. But, let’s suppose for one minute that we had no tax at all. Where would we be? No roads, bridges, or public rail systems. No maintained water ways, no military, no representation in the world with foreign countries or powers. We would be a third world country or even less. We would be conquered by or fighting for our lives with every little dictatorship that comes along. Our children would have little or no education because there would be no education system. That is just federal tax, then there is state tax. If we have no tax at all that has to go as well. That takes care of any police force that is left. So now we are at the mercy of every criminal element out there as well. Yeah, we will need our guns for certain then. Ahh, but since we have our guns we can form militias. Doubtful, it will be nothing less than another disorganized gang of cut throats over time. Yes, perhaps government is too big, and perhaps we do need to cut back on it’s spending. Perhaps we do, need honest caring people in government that are for the people, by the people, and of the people. So before we start drawing our guns and forming lawless gangs, let’s use the greatest power we have for change. Let’s vote! Vote! VOTE!. We have that power. Once we had a government so did the ” Sons of Liberty “!

EXCELLENT article.. factual and well written. I think we could learn much from this .. we need this kind of organization today to oppose the federal government i think.. i personally think our forefathers would be ashamed of us today with all the horrible taxes we pay and now this new attempt at gun control. yes we need this organization today.
