I remember the statue at the World's Fair in NY in the '60's. It left such an impression on me that I would look at my little replica of Pieta on my bureau and feel what Mary felt as she held her son Jesus after he died on the cross. It was that wonderful piece of majestic sculpture that made me love my Christianity more than ever and want to do for Jesus. My faith grew more each day from then on.
