Sir Peter Paul Rubens (June 28, 1577 – May 30, 1640), was a Flemish Baroque painter. His Baroque art style focused on sensuality, color, and motion. He is well known for his Counter-Reformation portraits, altarpieces, landscapes, and paintings of allegorical and mythological subjects.
