Benozzo Gozzoli (1421 – 1497) was an Italian Renaissance painter who was most well known for his fresco paintings. He is said to have apprenticed under the artist Fra Angelico and helped him with many commissions. Later in life, Gozzoli was famously commissioned by Cosimo de’Medici to paint the interior of the Medici family’s private chapel, also known as the Magi Chapel.
