I also descend from Ichabod Tuttle. The “Family Record of Calvin Tuttle” states that his wife, Elizabeth Matthews escaped in a boat down the river and made their way back to Connecticut. This narrative states that she had 3 children with her: Calvin, born Oct., 1772, Luther, born April 1778, and Ichabod, born July 17176.

I descend from Icabod Tuttle who died in that battle. His wife escaped with his two young children down a river. Would love more information that might be known to others. Thank you
