It was Italian Renaissance painter Raphael Sanzio which painted the Baronci Altarpiece. The art piece was painted between the years 1500 to 1501. The medium utilized was oil on wood. The painting dimensions are thirty one centimetres by twenty seven centimetres. It was commissioned for the Andrea Baronci’s chapel. Today it is located at the Pinacoteca Civica Tosio Martinengo in Brescia. This painting was a dedication to St. Nicholas of Tolentino. This altarpiece was one severely damaged due to an earthquake. Thus, the different fragments of the painting became part of various collections. Only several years later were scholars able to trace the different fragments.
