The Republican government they are referring to does not have any connection to the GOP. Republicanism is a term that is derived from enlightenment thought and enlightenment philosophers . The ideals behind republicanism are life, liberty and property. If you look at Federalist 10 by James Madison, you’ll notice similarities to what was said in that section. That’s because it was based on it. It’s not referring to republicans and democrats, but factions; majority and minority groups. They provided state governments as an attempt to limit the effects of factions, or large political groups drowning out what all minority groups have to say. So in fact, that part of the constitution was made for the exact purpose to oppose what you’ve done. Making politics about political grandstanding rather than the actual best solution for everyone. Next time please educate yourself more on political topics and please don’t make politics about democrat or republican. Research all sides of the argument and vote based on what’s best for our country. Thank you.
