either by election or by succession.  The 22nd Amendment does not speak to assuming the
presidency at all except by direct election to that office. The 22nd Amendment does not prohibit a two-term elected
President from assuming the presidency again by virtue of succession.  Neither does it prohibit a two-term elected
President from running for Vice President or for any other office in the line of succession.  Under the 22nd Amendment,
George W. Bush, Barack Obama, or Bill Clinton could each become President again via succession.]]></description>
